Well i squeezed down the side of the car and got a wheel off i could only do a rough measure due to limited space and rear on axle stands measured circumference of disc at 835mm and divided by pie(lol dont know how you spell it) and came up with 266mm?

So no clearer yet!

Is there any other pointers i.e body or chassis number???

Cheers sye

Yes.

Look at the edges of disks. The actual 20 mm wide edge, not the edge of the braking surface.

Are they solid? Or are there slots to let heat out?

If solid, they are the early 253mm.
If vented, they are the later 273mm vented disks

And your fronts will correspond, 240 mm solid or 260 mm vented.

Update i measured from centre of wheel to edge of calliper bracket where disc would sit and its 240mm so im guessing thats the size so now how do i tell wether it was a solid or vented disc or can i fit either?

No, its the diameter of the disk you should be measuring - I assume it has disks?
Solid is solid.
Vented is there's a slot between the two faces that air can pass through - look at the edge of the disk.
Grooved, by the way, is when there are grooves on the working surfaces of the disk.
Drilled is there are lots of holes drilled in the working surfaces of the disk

On my 1995 4 litre I have the solid disks.

The Motorserv (local motor spares place) part number for the EBC disks is EBCD280. Not sure if that is any help.

As i said in original post i threw them away as always been used to normal cars and the ease of finding out from the reg etc what discs i need.

So thank you to those trying to be helpful so far ,i know what a vented disc is i was asking of the possibility of upgrading if possible as i havent the two types of calliper to compare.

Right. I for one am guilty of not reading the original post carefully enough to see that the original disks were binned. Apologies.
