I bought a small size 12v battery like AA battery but shorter and thought will this work? Saving all that faffing around I did before .. Anyway soldered a wire each end of the battery and crimped male connector on the positive lead and female on the negative lead both leads around 1-1.5 inches in length now I connected the positive lead to the positive wire that I took off the connection next to bulb and the negative lead to that positive connection by the bulb
It works!!!!!! Everything works as it should do!!! Delay dims etc
So if your interior light doesn't come on and your relay works then try this !!!!

I have a LED board in the interior light unit I can hide the battery well but if you have a normal bulb there is room
