Sorry mate, I may appear to be a grumpy old git but there are limits. I have spoken with Nicks dad on a couple of occassions and he is indeed a top bloke, very knowledgable, complimentary and I could talk with him for an age. But FFS when someone comes on here saying every other car is a pile of st compared to theirs, then I take exception. This thread was started about a Turbo 5 litre Chimaeara for sale [of which is a quality build by a long standing builder], not a slag off turbo cars thread. People look to these subjects in order to help decide whatever route they take with whatever means/time/budget they may have from a smooth bore elbow to a nitrous fire-breathing monster yet to hear Nick, turbo's should be thrown in the bin.
If I have caused offence Mac I apologise, it was certainly not meant to offend. You have spoken to me as well, I loved your car, its a work of art, I don't still agree with everyones view (it seems) on the characteristics of Turbos being good for TVR's - but thats just my view, it certainly doesn't mean I mean any ill-will to anyone who has one. if you read back I actually took exception to the fact that TVR power were quoting silly figures for a 4.0LTR car - and things then got out of hand
Anyway - hence forth I will shut-up about Turbos
Horses for courses and it is up to the individual to choose which path they take when modifying these cars with so many options around now. I realise turbos aren't your thing but they are mine and many others. I've driven/owned SC, Nitrous and turbo RV8's and for me the turbo wins hands down, but I wouldn't say the others aren't good [great even], and one of my favourite cars out there at the moment is 'Hoofas' SC Chimaera. [next to mine of course ] I think that is the difference, I'm all for modding these cars and for me it's great to see different approaches to this and not talk them down. Just my slant on it.

seeing you engine bay at Blenheim on the wet bank holiday Monday for the first time, it was looking excellent mac. I am sure if TVR Blackpool had stuck with the RV8, then the progression to the turbo install would only have Been a matter of time. I have seen afew different turbo and supecharger installations, and yours by fair looks the most pleasing on the eye; great work pal. Aawww guys, got me blushing,,, [keep it coming, keep it coming]
'bling chim' indeed I'd be more than happy to take anyone out in her at some point, as for the 14th? it's looking doubtful as work at last has picked up and September is full and means I will be working weekends! Can't complain after two months of nothing. But I wont rule it out completely and if I can I'll be there but work has to come first.
PS; Derek, my 'unbreakable' driveshafts are on their way back, YHM.
