Benn talking with my mate who is a great engineer but mailny works on GM cars. He told me about the new Holley ECUs that has an auto setup function, you just plot in the desired AFR ratio, say 12.5, and the ECU does the rest via the wideband lambda and map sensor. Ignition tables you might have to put in manually but that can be entered manually with data from some others successful setup...
He can also rebuild my dizzy to GM HEI type that the ECU can control, without needing coilpacks
Anyone tried it?

it's like stepping back 30 years!Anyone tried it?
FAST ecu's are also popular in the states

Even though I'm running a Ls engine I've still got megasquirt3
It's not all about Ecu shineys it's more about Ecu mappers that's more important

^That. It doesn't matter what magical thing your new ECU can do or the price of it, one of the main things that you have to take into account is who can map it for you. There's no point in buying an ECU based on price if the only person who can map it is at the other end of the country and is crap, it will involve a day off of work and a 300 mile trip every time you want to change something and they might melt your engine. Find a mapper that you like and buy what they use OleVix said:
haha I'm still learning! Are there no benefits then? The kit is 950 quid + injectors. Do we have competetively priced stuff from the UK, which isnt extra efi megasquirt?
Virtually every entry level ecu will do what you need for less money. Everyone knows I fit emerald k6 and love its ease of use and reliability and value. The ecu is over 200 pounds cheaper than the Holley.Alexdaredevils said:

Correct and just to add quality of install is paramount http://www.fuelairspark.com/fas/efi-systems/ez-efi...
