I did this last year and used the 283mm discs from EBC

As for pads I use green stuff all round with no problems

Standard 283 discs and pads should be fine for fast road use. The grooved and drilled ones should be fine too. I bought a pair the other day off the bay £50 delivered. 887/888 marked, complete with carriers. Gonna do the seals and put on over winter.

Would like to know what spacer you find though.ears

You might need to file the caliper down with the 283 discs ,im sure you use a 2mm washer to space it . .

Its the carriers you have to file a little. Just a couple of mill at either end to allow room for that big 283mm disc.

wink Mild dressing I call it laugh along with a 2mm washer/spacer between caliper bracket and hub on all 4 bolts to center caliper to disc like Daz says.

They are from a Scorpio 12v or Cosworth , 278mm dia gives plenty of caliper clearance.

Those 888 887 calipers will be threaded M12, you may have to drill out the holes in the hub carrier and obviously if you go for these discs you need longer bolts and, as the "kid" said, some 10mm spacers

I'n using Pagid discs, from Euro Carparts (they were £50.78 a pair just the other week) and pads from Black Diamond on my S

I recommend Black Diamond disks - they have added a real wow factor to my brakes on track.

Not sure on part numbers but you want the Sierra Cosworth two wheel drive discs NOT the ones from a 4x4.

The ones i linked to earlier on are the correct ones.

Personally for road use i would just go for plain discs, anything else is just for looks imo.

Have you tried your local motor factors, i know when i did mine last year, mine still had the discs in stock.
