At the request of his holiness the right honourable db484bhpv8 bow herewith a new daily snotter thread...

This should give Monsterlime a few helpful thoughts regarding his current bus dilemma, and allow everyone else to know to what depths you have sunk regarding the 'other car'

Golf VR6 here, cheap to buy and so far very reliable smile Paper bag over head not required whilst driving it smile

Mine's a SEAT Ibiza FR TDI PD130. It's got more letters after its name than any other car I've ever owned!

I bought it "nearly new", about 6 months old on a 54 plate, with about 6,500 miles on the clock, and it's now got about 142,000 miles on it - so the engine is just about run-in now.

It's got the ubiquitous VAG 1.9 TDI, in 130 bhp form - although mine's been remapped to about 170 bhp or so and about 280 lbft torque. It's a very, very drivable car, and will easily do 55+ mpg - although I drive it hard so it "only" manages 45 mpg.

Mechanically I look after it well, but the poor thing gets very little cosmetic TLC. It has some bumps and scrapes, and the interior is grubby from carrying all manner of crap around.

It's smoking a bit under hard acceleration at the moment - I think it has a boost leak. Hope it doesn't fail its MOT on Thursday!

Thankyou chilli you are a honourable servant.

Even tho this is supposed to be a snotter thread i suspect there will be a few show offs posting pics of their Fezzas and the like.

My current snotter is £900 worth of Astra diesel. I was suprised at the sufficient poke the turbo 2.0 gives and its fun to put the car behind you in a cloud of soot. Only 86k on the clock and 50 mpg.

A beautifully bland but surprisingly nimble diesel megane. This is the only picture I have as I can't be arsed to remember the registration! laugh
