Only got 5 runs ,first run 12.42 then i missed a gear three times for some reason, then the last run got me over 116nph but for some reason i was slightly slower..

I now have a clonk noise from the rear and something clicking behind the dash rolleyes

Derek your car looked like a steam train when you were limping away.

A good day.

My car ran well but it's amazing how hard it is to shave off tenths of a second.

I obtained my best run on the 2nd attempt, 12.21 which I'm pleased with but hoped for a tad better.

Great to meet up with everyone again, roll on the 22nd for Snetterton.

What was your speed ? .I can`t believe how much extra power you need just to gain a tenth of a second

The difference between 12.4 and 12.21 is nothing ,yet you have an extra 40hp and and more masses torque .

Terminal speed a consistent 115, see other thread for my slip, I can't copy and paste the slip.

My best was 12.3 at 116mph. I'm really happy with how it went, the R1R had quite a bit of grip but I think I might invest in an upgrade for next time.

I was trying more and more to get less wheelspin.

Maybe I should have tried "more beans" from the off!

With the queues soooo long I wasn't prepared to experiment.

Next time at Shakey, a better venue for fun IMHO.

BTW Nigel, after fitting a flame trap to each rocker box each with a separate breather, no more leaks.

Still going for the Irish boxes though!

Well have done that , linked to together, through catch tank and back to supercharger inlet. Fitted new spacers ok, passenger side. Drivers side leaks through the bolts on the water rail !!! Grrrr
