It was in the handover speech given to you by your TVR dealer when you bought new or second hand from one.Along with;
yes, that's the oil pressure it shows at hot idle, that's 'normal';
the speedometer light is that colour, don't ask me why, it just is;
never slam the boot lid, press it gently to 'lock' in place;
always put your roof in the bag and for God's sake don't damage it, it will take 3 months to get a new one;
never use anything but Mobil 1 or you will void your warranty;
always depress the clutch when starting;
6 months or 6 thousand miles - whichever comes *first*;
put it in fifth gear, then reverse gear;
+ a few others that don't immediately come to mind.

Learn your fuel gauge and carry a spare gallon until you know it - if my fuel gauge reads E, the car is about 30 miles back up the road. I ran out at 70mph in the middle of overtaking several HGVs on the A1. My face must have been "interesting". One cough, then silence, other than a loud reference to horse waste matter from yours truly.
One further thing for those who love track driving - these tanks are not baffled, and the fuel pick-up is passenger side. So the car will cough on long left handers when you are down to 1/4 of a tank.
Could be worse OP. One of our number had two Chims, the second one for 7 years and never knew about the cubby holes behind the seats until I mentioned opened the ones on mine day while he was there. He said his didn't have them and then we looked.

That was another. I was also told; never trust the fuel gauge, treat 1/4 full as nearly empty / empty.Of course that can change over the years, and while mine once appeared to have fuel when it didn't (yes, there are a couple of stories there, the dealer was absolutely correct), it will now happily go well bellow 1/4 tank mark on the gauge.
For the time being at least, it is behaving almost like a 'normal' fuel gauge.
