I can't help but notice that the standard wheels on the Chimaera are a very dull silvery grey colour, they don't stand out at all.

Has anyone painted them a brighter silver? I had my Z4 wheels refurbished and painted a high power silver by The Wheel Specialists and they looked great, I'm wondering if I should do the same with the TVR.

To give you an idea of what I mean, standard wheels (they look more grey than silver and certainly don't stand out)

Garfys v8s has had his chimp 500 wheels painted - not sure I've seen a photo on here though.

It’s probably most noticeable when I have the TVR parked up next to my Caterham. The Caterham wheels are painted in a bright polished aluminium colour and are really bright. I think they look great, I reckon it would look good on the TVR too.

Warning. The gold wheels make it loud. Very LOUD!

Either that or the SC and exhaust.

Nice, thanks for the photos, I want to keep the car looking standard, just brighten it up a bit, so no anthracite or gold for me! I think I'll go ahead when funds allow...

The Caterham and BMW wheels also have more reflective surfaces, so they catch the light more. I understand what you're saying about the colour, which may well be part of it, but you may find that painting the Chimaera wheels the same colour is not as successful as you think.
