Stronger and more adjustment, especially for TDs.

If you hold a rusty wishbone in your hand and imagine you are braking the max from 140 with sticky semi slick tyres or cornering at 100 with the car drifting across the track it makes you wonder if the originals are up to the job.

They may well be but a little insurance is ok with me.

On the down side the theory says that if you smack the normal ones they will deform without taking the chassis out, but as the tubular ones are stronger you have more chance of damaging the chassis. Saying that I have tubular bottom front wishbones.

Hi Spike,
Well thanks phazed, l wasn't going to mention willow but yes l turned and tig welded the jig for nick , so when he was welding the wishbone together they dont move with heat distortion etc. He has not publicised them much but offers them as an upgrade on chassis rebuilds he does. I promised to keep quite but that was 2 years ago now!!!

TVR S series, tubular as standard, the mounting brackets bent a little but main chassis rail was ok!

Sorry haven't got round to figuring out the little boxy quotation thing yet (very technical I am)

If Willow aren't producing them for sale will you consider it yourself Mark. If so count me in. Sounds like a group buy if ever I heard one....

Like everyone else here its not the money its the quality I chase!

Just curious....

On the S Series, which I believe uses the same top balljoint as the standard Chimaera set up, KPI can be adjusted with spacers either side of the two mounting bolts. With the threaded top ball joint set up that adjustment is lost?

Is the design and manufacture accurate enough that that adjustment is felt to be unnecessary?

Willow has the jig and the necessary machined components to make them. He has just been fitting them on a few rebuilds and Jasons orange chim in the TVR Tuscan challenge.

Tomorrow's job.

Curved lower wishbones so wide wheels don't snag.

Looking good, interested in the tubular wishbones and had a look at the grantura website, but have a serious gripe, why the hell list everything as poa, bloody annoying and very off putting and likely to make me give them a miss, what's wrong with listing price's these day's?
