Perplexed????

Hello All,

I recently took my Chim 500 in to get the engine mounts, steering rack boot and fuel filter replaced, then an oil change performed. When I picked up the car a few days later is was informed by the mechanic that the petrol gauge and temp gauge were not working at all, yet I know for an absolute fact that they were working perfectly prior to me dropping the car off.

Can anybody give me any ideas as to what may have happened for the gauges to stop working, given the oil pressure gauge is still working?

Have you checked the connection on the senders? He's possible disturbed or unintentionally pulled off the connectors or damaged the cable, although, I don't see why on any of those jobs. Definitely your first port for a diagnosis though.
