WOW, I'm slow laugh
Page 4 and I've only just realise who this is.
I've also recently joined the family but I promise to keep this red car away from sign posts wink
The perfect car for a tinkerer like yourself.

Ha! I saw the user name but decided it was a coincidence. I seeeee. First its the 1JZ's, now Chimaeras.

We better make sure we don't turn up to a meet with matching shirts or this will get very awkward!

How is yours shaping up? Also, This calls for a meet!!

It drove all the way home from Benfleet a treat, so of course I'm not taking it apart smile
It needs a bit of tidying up and niggly faults put right but to be honest it's not a lot and I'm glad to be back in a car I can work on.
More than happy to meet up anytime I'm free, Musselburgh to Aberdeen, there's got to be somewhere In-between we can find to meet. If we turn up in the same shirt it just proves we have good taste in clothes as well as cars laugh

This is true, although I am adamant this is a dry weather car! Somewhere of interest near Dundee?

Interesting and Dundee in the same sentence, who'd ever have thought wink
Seriously though, I can't think of anything off the top of my head but I'm sure we'll find somewhere they don't mind a bit of noise and preferably hot drinks near by at this time of year.

Took the TVR into work this morning as it was promised to be dry enough (it wasn't)

Came out for a fag and noticed this parked up next to it. Interesting comparison...

Yep both are 240 ish hp soft tops with similar performance, but veeeery differently executed. The Chim is the better looking and sounding imo smile

Well, that escalated...

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfokIQ_fMTx8j69...

See attached a playlist of what is now 34 videos of where I went with this car. Long and short, full body off, turbo conversion and more.

First proper drive of the finished thing will be next week once its taxed. To say I'm a bit excited is an understatement. It will be like the first day I got it.

I do like the S2000 they may be similar in HP but a healthy 4.0 as in a camshaft that dont resemble a broomstick handle for example rolleyes will trounce the Honda just about everywhere 0-60 easy biggrin roll on performance (bit obvious that one) everything but handling especially down undulated B roads etc ....Oh and MPG laugh but credit where credit is due look at the difference rolleyes half the CC half the cylinders RPM is king with these silly

The S2000 motors F20/F22 power-band is addictive , Honda doing what they do best HP reliability and severe RPM's cloud9 a tough nut to crack eek

Quick but not Tvr quick. My mate spun it in the wet and crunched 3 corners which cost a few quid in plastic bumpers thumbup

Yes. To be fair I don’t think the tyres were best suited to winter weather at the time.
Went round Curburough in about 65 seconds which is very rapid but the driver was special.
