The small electrical switch on one of my key fobs is no longer working. Can it (the switch) be replaced ? or where do I get a new fob from ?
Thanks.

Briliant place - Good service and price - I obtained a spare fob last year - easy to order from their website

I know this might be a ridiculously obvious suggestion but have you replaced the batteries in the key fob ?

No but having taken out the small bit of circuit board I can see that the tiny switch no longer 'clicks' meaning it won't set / open the car.

If you prise out the rubber top bit there's a tiny metal bendy bit underneath, that is what clicks when you push the button and springs it back up. All of it is small, extremely fiddly and very difficult to get back together once you've taken it apart though.

I have the same problem with one of my fobs. The outer plastic button simply pushes directly down onto a tiny surface-mounted microswitch on the circuit board, and the microswitch has lost its "clicky". I'm quite sure anyone with surface-mount soldering skillz could replace the microswitch, but I guess it's not worth it.

I keep meaning to get in touch with Abacus, to get a replacement and also see if it's possible to get a combined key-and-fob. Very interested in a remote boot release too.

Remote boot release is a total joy if, like me, you use your TVR for 12,000 miles a year including shopping trips etc.
