To make it more interesting, and to counter some of the pure willy waving that a table like this encourages, how about somebody works out in a separate column the £/bhp per mod. An efficiency measure of horsepower gain if you will. Something to aid the decision making process: I.e. what's overall a better spend, a 800bhp monster for £50k, or a 10bhp increase for £150?

It would allow some interesting insight into what is the most effective spend depending on the modders view of cash v bhp.
You forget the fact that man maths has a strange amnesiac effect on spending where upgrades are concerned wink

Ah but clever mans maths may result in a more efficient result. Why take, say, a 10bhp for a £150 quid mod if somebody has done something else that gives the same result but at a lower cost?

My point exactly wink

I think a turbo will always deliver the best bang for buck.

As for modified TVR tables here's two of my own wink

You Rover boys are no fun! In the Tuscan forum, the best £/bhp return is in an RAC/AA/Rogers Rescue membership (delete as applicable)!

If we just need a table of some sort... then maybe i could do a wiki.
I could copy and edit the 1/4 mile table.

What columns do we want in it specifically?

Is it actually wise to give such a detailed description of the modifications, especially when there are images freely available with the Reg Number.

One thing that strikes me, and it wouldn't affect me per se, is that when publically listing all the modifications (and performance), you'd need to ensure that the details posted match with the information supplied to your insurance company.

A concern for me is that you could be inviting trouble from the scrotes of this world, who'd rather steal someone else's property than acquire it through honest means.

It's a good idea, just prefer it wasn't so public.

Well this has died a death!

I don't think that this table will make your car vulnerable. I take your point but there are so many nice cars out there.......

Richard, nice try but I can hardly read it.

Better to have tried and failed etc..... I have no idea how to do a sticky/wiki or I'd do it myself....

One might have thought a mod would help out whistle

You will relate to this Chilli;
Client tells you they want to build 'something'.
The first question you might ask is "what is this 'something'?"
Client says "oil platform".
You say "how big? how deep will it be drilling?" and maybe some even more technical questions than that? smile
Sometimes it's a two way street to develop the specification for the end product, but without a specification...

Well, I am sure we are all familiar with this;

So, you have said "table of mods".
Your local 'expert' there, the Beelzebub of Modification Hades himself has offered to support you in this infernal project.
So; give him a clue; "What columns"?

I posted a table day before yesterday, deleted it yesterday as the only response was slightly in the negative. Anyway, no time to chat, I'm in a cooking competition this weekend smile

I like that.
coolevil

Ok I will sort a basic table to fill in.
Might add a couple of columns such as 'My favourite power mod' and 'Mod i was least impressed with'

As usual Phil, you are right with my logic on this one.

The fact that they haven't been in to comment so far would seem to indicate someone has tipped them off.
Who do we know that owns one of each I wonder?
Then there's that bloke that is happy to park his Chimaera outside the Growl every year... Are we sure he can be trusted? I mean he says; "I'm just a cook", but comeon that was this guy's story too

Nice one. For antique roadshow could do with piston and con rod feet and TVRCC engraved in the glass. More meaningful than Top Gear effort. biggrin
