You think you'll end up with another Chim now then? It would surely have to be a 450 / 500 wouldn't it or it would feel slow after that vx!

1This was my effort skinning my old steel dash with carbon mods products.

A lot of rubbing down and about 8 coats of laquer, but a pretty good finish can be achieved. Worth changing dash lights to leds whilst you have got the dash out.
Just wondering which LED's you used as I am hoping to do similar over the winter.

indeed, its tuned me think...I also owned a Speedster turbo, it was pretty 'fast' but no way that fast.
also drove once in a almost 480hp (or something like that) Speedster turbo, that was reasonable fast, but a big turbo is not that fun as a smaller faster spooling one with say 350<>400hp.

Bulbs shown are the original followed by the best fit leds I could find after a fair bit of trial and error. Either too long ot too wide.I even resorted to shaving the plastic outer ring for a better fit. I also added rubber ring between the holder and back of the clock in particular but did all the guages to ensure bulb didn't go in too far but probably not required.

Also worth noting the first lot I received were a mixture of cool white and warm white. I had n't realised there was a choice. In the end I went all cool white which looks a bit brighter

V good, so they fit in the standard holders. Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?

Yes they fit the standard holders.
Bulbs are T10 501 W5W and BA9S 233 T4W and are available from numerous outlets on the well known auction site, but I got mine from:
