Ditto [but not the camper van bit, I'd like one of course but,,,,]
I am looking at converted Sprinters. The motocross ones look ideal, plenty of living space but with a dedicated garage area.
Iveco's are cheaper, (possibly for good reason?).
I suppose I'll just have to rough it in the Swift Kon-Tiki
Hard old bed.....
Nothing to eat
Loads of washing up
Horrible fry ups...
But don't worry about me guys....I struggle on.......I'll be ok
That reminds me....I need to get some LPG for the heating and hot water

How do the motorhomes perform with a trailer and TVR behind them?
Whats the MPG like?
God i feel like Daz all of a sudden!
Good questionWhats the MPG like?
God i feel like Daz all of a sudden!
I did around 900 miles last year with the Griff on the IFOR Williams behind the van....mostly in France so took advantage of quiet autoroute and cruise control.
Normally the van (2.8jtd) does around 25mpg......but with the trailer, it dropped to 20-21 ish...
Performance wise, it doesn't seem to make that much difference to be honest.....trailer and car are around 1500kg
Van is plated at 4000kg but runs much lighter when it's just me going somewhere on my own....
One thing to note, is that when I first got the van, I could hardly ever use top gear, it was just way to high, and the slightest incline would mean it wouldn't pull it......but it did used to average around 28 mpg.. but was a pain especially for me with constant gear changes to keep it in the sweet spot....
So I've dropped the gearing...(dead easy) and ok I've lost a few MPG, but the van is so much nicer to drive, no more up and down the box...

drove like a car too.
That is the one thing I dislike about my swift......It's an 05 ducato cab, and there's no getting away from the fact that it's based on a cheap van... It's a bit noisey, cab heating and ventilation is crap, and it drives like a van.....The upside is that the living quarters, are pretty good really, good heating, nice shower, fridge freezer TV, and plenty of room for me and the Mrs......so all in all its a pretty good van, especially at the cheaper end of the market...
If ever I get into a position where I can upgrade......next time it'll be an Auto Merc Sprinter.....
