If you look carefully the Pertek ones are not the same as the ones on the link, I bought these first time, then I bought the ones without the o rings, these can be made to fit, but the ones from Pirtek come from America, and fit perfectly, bit pricey,£12 each plus VAT but the guy at Pertek, said we could get a discount if the order was bigger. I do plan to do a write up for Sprint Magazine when I am totally happy with the conversion.

No not yet, need to finish fitting UJ, set ride height, and then get geometry/ 4 wheel tracking adjusted/ checked, one of the main reasons I did it was to make the entry/exit to my garage easier, so looking forward to testing that

So just to confirm, the pirtek ones dont require any machining and fit just as they are.

UJ fitted, had to fettle/file the end of the KA UJ as it was close to the angled bar on chassis, centralised the steering wheel and made sure rack was central, I now have 1 turn of the wheel each way, drove it out of the garage and back in, it feels lovely being able to manoeuvre easily, funnily enough it feels like an impreza, (i have had 3), 1 year tax starting on Sunday 01/03, so hopefully the suns out and I can take her out for a quick test drive before having all geometry checked. Ride height, rear brake pads to be done tomorrow, also need to make a bracket to fix the reservoir

I bet you are very pleased with this!

Even though I fitted mine a couple of years or so ago Steve did all the leg work.

This is the perfect upgrade for all those cars with excessive play in their racks or just to bring a non PS into the 21st century wink

Btw, your serp belt is on wrong, your water pump will be going backwards.

Ok will do a parts list, schoolboy error with the serp belt, just checked previous pics, was ok before changing the power steering pump, thanks for that, will change tomorrow, stripped cleaned painted and fitted new rear pads today, seems I have an extra aluminium bracket that allows the larger rear discs but standard calipers.

I like your carbon plenum, looks the same as mine, I think you're the only other person I've seen with one?

Nice work but fit your serpentine drive belt correctly rolleyes do you not think the lack of belt wrap on the alt pulley looks wrong?

I'd guess he's had to re-route it for clearance in the oil filter area. So the tensioner returns to water pump, and hence excellent wrap around water pump & crank.

Slightly worrying are the scores on the back of the belt that look like the outer has run on a grooved pulley?

That's how my rears are, 300mm bells with std calipers.
