Looks like i will be at Cadwell on the Sunday as the misses informs me we have guests Saturday. Also means i can't travel up the night before so Sunday will be a long day!
Do remember that you don't have to be there before the first sparrow has farted. Generally you can get there about ten minutes before the briefing (ie about 08.20), sign in, get briefed, then get noise tested and out on track. I have even known people turn up after all that has happened, and simply start later. You will be unlikely to want to get on track immediately if it's wet. I went to one in September where we arrived at about 0730 and finally turned a wheel on track four hours later.....and it was a great day despite that. I have a spare pair........of ACT cans if you want to borrow them, and happen to live about a mile from the A1/A46 junction close to Newark. You are welcome to pick them up on your way past. I might even come along and take part, as it's after my tax return deadline and I love Cadwell. As the day is only just over half booked I might hang on until I can see a weather forecast, as Cadwell in the wet is not for the faint hearted.

What is the sound limit ?
Remember Bedford being really strict about noise, I didn't even chance it and took the BMW as there was no way noisy was going to below 101Db static. They used to do a measured test in the car park before you even get to the pits, then there is a meter on track recording drive by noise, trip it twice and you were taking an early bath.

Hi Guys, I'll be there tomorrow in my clio (black 182 with yellow sticker on boot). Cheeky question! Any chance of some passenger laps in a TVR???
Happy to reciprocate but might not be as exciting!
Nothing wrong with a Clio 182, probably one of the best cars I have driven. Certainly goes around corners better than my Tiv! Happy to reciprocate but might not be as exciting!
Only a 200 mile round trip, nothing really.
Lucky I've just fitted that nice splitter/snow plow.
The car performed spectacularly in the snow, wide Tripple 8 tyres, 460ft lb of torque and a weight of one ton is a winning combination.
I got within 1.5 miles of the v
track and gave up as I had no more forward momentum in the snow
Ah well, Precat bought me breakfast on the way back, so well worth the journey!

Methinks I see the signs of a man looking for a pristine snow drift to be pissed off into in letters three feet high and in yellow.... Lucky I've just fitted that nice splitter/snow plow.

Bad luck Peter. So frustrating.

If they had decided earlier, or the night before, yes......but if you read The Architect's posts above, Daz, they seem to have decided at 0755 this morning, presumably when the snow plough spun off into gravel trap at Becketts.....Daz, if you are reading this, how about replying to my email and voicemail about Sunday? Though the wisest move after Peter's frustration might to be to leave a decision until the last minute.
