just got back all stripped and powder coatings arms. Just need to put it back together.

then it'll need a full geometry setup, any recommendations near m5/m50 or west midlands region? rough price to pay (no rusty parts now)?

only quote so far was from a tvr place in coventry for £210 (3 hours)

cheers

I realise that I am not local but as a guide I paid £60 (+VAT) for a full setup in Milton Keynes (Unit18).
I was very happy with the service and result.

He only did it because I had just replaced everything and could guarantee that he would be able to undo all the bolts and move adjusters. He had been bitten with seized bits in the past, especially the rear lower wishbone adjusters.

About £100 would be the norm for all 4 corners, maybe a touch less, that sounds very expensive to me.

There is David Gerald TVR in Redditch.

With the suspension all refreshed the adjustment should be much easier due to nothing seized. So less labour cost.

Thanks. I've done a bit of research and find this topic covered the settings.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I'm pretty sure I can do toe (with string) and I'll probably try camber too using a gunson camber tool of fleabay/sons protractor on spirit level, it'll better than leaving it untouched. If/when I fail at this I'll take it to a shop but was shocked at the £200+ quote. It's not going on the track.

regards castor/kpi settings, I really don't know

Get over to Matt Smith.

www.matsmithsportscars.co.uk

He's a TVR indie nut who loves TVRs.

he'll charge you about £100-150 depending on seized nuts.

He'll also recommend settings depending on your cars use.

Highly recommended and worth the journey.

I too set my car up with protractor, string etc and drove the 120 miles to him without any problems.

Topgear Automotive in Wolverhampton (Tvr Indie) are always reasonable, and good at geo setups. Give them a ring.
