Yep, that's my old girl. SP12's 18" back and 17" front. Here's my favourite pic. Must do some more when the weather improves and I finish putting more bits on it!

I must say that looks the dogs do dars , if I do go for a set of wheels silver will look great on my chim
I didn't know whether to go black or anthracite to suit my colour of chim but the silver looks great and it really suits the car
without looking to blingy

Do you know what offset they were? Might just bite the bullet and order some at payday, I don't really feel confident running 19mm spacers at the front at the moment frown

I've often wondered if an old fashioned set of wire wheels would work. But you are probably opening up a whole can of worms there with new hubs and possibly other bits and bobs required as well.

Forgot all about those BBS RS copies, they look fantastic on the chimaera and are probably the only thing I'd change my estorils to if the notion ever crossed my mind!

I've spoken to a few people, damn this thread!
Think i'm going to order some Compomotive mo5's this afternoon, 17x7 fronts and 17x8 rears. They are about the only ones I can find I like apart from some Image split rims which I can't really justify (£2600).

Make sure that they are:

offset ET 25-33 front, ET 33 rear
Centre hole at least 63.2mm diameter, or slightly larger. Too small and they simply won't go on.
4 x 108 stud pattern

This chart will tell you optimum tyre width and permissible range

Yeah they are 7x17 et25 / 8x17 et35.
Going to have a think about it, as it's a new design so i'm not 100% sure what they would look like. About the same price as some SP12s (a bit cheaper)

it's these

ok we are getting lots of ideas on wheels options now , now what about the change in ride quality for road use ?
does the handling/sharpness change being the the newer /larger diameter wheels will have a lower profile tyre

RL7s, as on a Cerb.

Keeps it fairly original.

I have 5 stud hubs, offset perfect for a chim.

My car is on 45 profile Federal 595 RSRs on 17 inch wheels. The load index of the tyres makes a big difference.

Let's meet up and you can drive both cars in succession to feel the difference, if any.

SP12s on a Navy Chim... refurb due - silver or something a tad darker (not the full anthracite/gun metal)?
