clutch all now operational not without a few problems on the way first is the new master cyl is 3/16th pipe and fitting the new slave is still 1/4in but with a unf fitting so i made a little fitting one end 3/16th one end 1/4in then silver soldered the respective pipes into the fitting new swaged ends and hey presto a complete system ,master all fitted fine used the old clevis with a new pin suprising the wear on the old one ,the new master is not integral with the resevoir so a remote resevoir has been fitted on the passengers side and piped across and into the inner wing all looks neat and tidy the action now that i have the correct hydraulic advantage is very smooth and supprisingly light so the rest of the engine is back together run it up tomorrow and set up the water injection.

That particular one isnt but you could get one with the correct bore size the set up would look the same.

at last the water injection is all sorted with richards help from drl i had to remove the board from the casing break the tinniest of links and solder a new link to give me the required volume of water injection, trouble was they assumed we had 100% drive to the injectors when on full throttle but that is not the case we use around 68%at full throttle so had to move to x1.5 on the scale hence the soldering but all good now, i also fitted the passengers seat tidied up the wiring to the aquamist ecu and put it in conduit and refitted the dash so just the line locks to go.

well after much testing we have come to the conclusion that the super light flywheel is the wrong choice for us, the engine is incredibly responsive and as a pure race car would be fine but as a track plus road car its to aggressive, so a 12kilo flywheel has been sourced with a high proportion of the weight on the periphery to damp the engine better, we are keeping the superclutch very pleased with that and as the gkn lsd was very tired a new btr is going in, i have stripped everything out again diff has arrived and will be going in tomorrow, new flywheel should be hear next week so just got to build it all up again.

John i went from the GKN to the BTR and my findings are ,it seems to accelerate quicker but the two things i don`t like are the car will not do 100mph in fourth gear and it revs higher on cruise .

I`m trying to source ether a 3.23 or maybe a 3.08 crown wheel and pinion( if Derek takes me out in his car and i like the gearing )

The 100mph problem may cause problems of the Quarter mile straight .

If you purchased the brakecks can you tell me your thoughts thanks

I have at last got the new btr diff into the car unfortunatly the two front brackets supplied allegedly to allow the fitment of the btr where a gkn had formally been did not quite line up so i have had to remove 8mm from the nearside bracket and extend the off side by the same amount the rear bracket is perfect but all well now they are all repainted so will be funally fitted next week.

It will be the standard one, whatever that is. Any way of telling from under the car? I will have it up on Mat's ramp on Monday to switch my dampers round and fit some different seats.
