Most of it isn't as bad as I expected it to be to be honest.
Obviously new outriggers but the rest I'm hoping a blast, treat and re coat will do it.

Yes and no bow

Do you have or can you get me the chassis dimensions ?
I meant to measure length and width to give to the chassis people tomorrow but forgot. I'm not going to get a chance before I go and visit them.

Can't see the colour of the second wire too well in your pic, obviously one is Slate/Yellow (SY) is the other White/Purple (WP)?
If it is then it's the wiring that on the lucas drawing would go to the purge control valve, if you have that fitted?

Don't worry too much about the crack in the bell housing, a decent welder could sort that out, preferably do it with it bolted to the block though so that there's much less risk of any distortion.

Same as mine just done the same job 430BV too and says BV on the ECU.
Ive tried to keep mine original though paint and interior perfect havent changed any hoses or leads at all just keeping the original "Patina" had outriggers made in thicker tube and stove enamelled. Its worth it IMO.

Thanks Eddy, does the valve sit on the back of the plenum ?
I'm a long way off completion Gary but I'd always planned a 6 months rebuild.

Well I'm sure you'll be glad to hear there are no pictures tonight.
Prop shaft out, diff out and engine loose and supported from the block and tackle. Lift it out tomorrow or Wednesday.

Don't have a clue where it is I'm afraid, I just looked at the wiring diagram. This might help

Been to the garage for a few hours tonight and things are moving along nicely.

Firstly let me remind all of you not to lean on your rotten chassis wink

Other side is nearly as bad.

Moving on, engine out, not so easy when you're on your own but do-able.

And separate.

Then it was front anti roll bar, and brakes.

That's me until probably sunday. The strip will continue then.

Nice work mate!
I haven't inspected thoroughly yet but I can see that my chassis has gone in the same place as yours and the top rail under where the exhaust manifolds run is looking decidedly second hand as well.

Looks like I'm playing catch up again biggrin
