Cheers mate thumbup
Even with all the issues I've had, I'm proud of myself getting this far because I've never done anything like this before.

Apart from starting the car for the first time post build, this was my favourite stage of the rebuild. A real sense of achievement!

I get the body back with a fresh paint job tonight. So a few bit to do before I put them back together next week. Bolt it down and then it's off to got a new interior and roof on the 22nd.

I'm really proud of what I've achieved in a small time frame.
I hope these pictures will help and continue to inspire more people to secure the future of there own pride and joys.

Great job Cokes - can I be cheeky and ask how much you've spent on this comprehensive rebuild?

Of course you can ask, doesn't mean I'm telling laugh

To be honest, I don't know. I've got a mountain of receipts to file once it's done but until then it is only a guess.

Fair enough!

Once you know, I'd love to know. This is something I'd like to undertake at some point, but it would be great to know how much to save up in advance.

I think the danger is that, while things are in bits, I'd be tempted to 'just do that one more job' - and end up essentially building a new car. Still, at least when it's done you'll know it's perfect! smile

That's pretty much what I've done.
Thinking about it, how much would a new Chimaera be worth ?
My engine has been fully rebuilt so is essentially brand new and zero miles. Full re spray and you can see what I've done with the rest.

All that in mind, I'm sure I'll end up spending more than current market value on it.
