Well, I got the update this morning frown
Although nothing can be found that's wrong, there is still no oil pressure.
So both good and bad news I guess.
The new water pump is leaking but as it looks like the timing cover will need to come off, to check oil lines in there, I guess it'll be easier to re seal it then.

Kate will NOT be going to the ball.

My target will not be met frown
On the plus side, I truly believe I can hold my head high and be throughly proud of what has been achieved in only 6 months with the help of some truly amazing people that have gone out of their way to assist.
There have been set backs and hold ups along the way but for now her grand entrance will need to wait.
I'm not giving up on her but as the sunny days lessen I'm not sure how much I'll get to enjoy her before theScottish winter sets in.

Not sure when the next update will be.

Thanks
Cokes

Cheers mate biggrin
Once all the simple things have been tried (and yes, that includes me and my patients) and it still doesn't work it's then back to the engine builders to see what they've got to say for themselves.

Wouldn't miss it for anything. Even without a car.
The Audi S4 I've taken the last 2 years was sold to fund the TVR build so this year I'm going co pilot with Marcus and his black wedge.

Hi Robin.
Yeah we ran off quite quickly on Monday, Marcus's alcohol levels had dropped and he wanted to get home top up again wink

Anyway, Kate, I'm off to see her tonight and make my mind up what the next step is.
Oil pressure starts to build but only lasts about 10 seconds before it disappears and doesn't return.

I think it's back to the engine builder but that will probably mean open heart surgery so it'll need to come out.

I'll have an update later tonight.

If the oil pressure is building, then the pump must be primed. Is the oil pressure relief valve free to move, within it's bore, in the oil pump housing?

Hi,

Has the oil pressure relief valve been lapped in, is there a BURR within the wall of the valve? Is relief valve spring the correct length.

Best of luck with that painful issue.

At least you found it mate. That should be a very embarrassed engine builder when you call him.

The guy that built the engine just happens to be on holiday until Thursday next week so I've asked the company, in the mean time, to order all gaskets required so it'll be one visit the end of next week.

Another week of twiddling my thumbs frown

Presumably they are replacing the gaskets etc. ?

Glad you found it, it's not exactly a small leak, how did they miss that?

Hopefully sorted soon

That's what I'm hoping.
I've stressed the fact it's costing me money in storage while I wait for them so once again I'm hoping they get a move on.
