That's all the pallets I have and the body will be on them before I can get more.

Wouldn't that be putting too much weight on a smaller area causing more chance of bending, flexing and chance of cracking ?
I thought it would be better to spread the weight as much as possible.

The 4x2's were fitted that way to just tie the pallets together rather than structural support but then again I'm an electrician, what do I know laugh
I'll take any help and advice I can get biggrin
I have bought more wheels to span the joint in the pallets, do you think that should do the trick ?

Strapped up and ready for the lift, Mark was happy and ready for action.

Slowly lifted and checking for anything still connected.
Fuel hoses through into the boot and fuel pump wiring.

Then there was this one I couldn't disconnect.

Nearly there and we have the TVR 4x4.

Body free.

The worst bit.

And finaly rather than a hundred pictures here's the chassis in video form.

There was a couple of earths to the back of the block (39 in previous pics) and these.
Not sure where they broke from and not traced them into the dash yet to see where they go. If anyone knows the colours please share smile

Unfortunately it looks like they cracked the bell housing as well when it jammed.

Most of it isn't as bad as I expected it to be to be honest.
Obviously new outriggers but the rest I'm hoping a blast, treat and re coat will do it.

Yes and no bow

Do you have or can you get me the chassis dimensions ?
I meant to measure length and width to give to the chassis people tomorrow but forgot. I'm not going to get a chance before I go and visit them.

Thanks Eddy, does the valve sit on the back of the plenum ?
I'm a long way off completion Gary but I'd always planned a 6 months rebuild.

Well I'm sure you'll be glad to hear there are no pictures tonight.
Prop shaft out, diff out and engine loose and supported from the block and tackle. Lift it out tomorrow or Wednesday.

Been to the garage for a few hours tonight and things are moving along nicely.

Firstly let me remind all of you not to lean on your rotten chassis wink

Other side is nearly as bad.

Moving on, engine out, not so easy when you're on your own but do-able.

And separate.

Then it was front anti roll bar, and brakes.

That's me until probably sunday. The strip will continue then.

Thanks guys biggrin

Another night like tonight and I'll be totally stripped and delivering bits to the blasters to see what's getting kept and what needs replaced.

The rate you work Ged you'll not only catch me you'll pass me again. thumbup

Ok, ok, you're both right but it was the diff mount bolt I was thinking about. It's stuck mad started whacking on it last night but when I saw a spark come from it and as there was petrol on the floor I gave up for the night.

The front cross mount has been left to keep the chassis as rigid as possible until the "holy outriggers Batman" can be done.

Will give it a "bash" tonight wink
