Yes quite shocking at times.I will be checking my timing again even if i dont swap the cam.
Maybe explains why my inlets are worse than the exhausts by 2mm.
I also need to inspect my rocker shafts. One thing that hasnt been replaced by myself on this engine since i aquired it.

May as well order a set of these. Would it be prudent to order JE's billet shafts too?Slight change of plan.... the pistons are going to David Knights. After doing my cylinder heads he offered to do the reliefs at a very fair price.
ie the JE pedestals will almost be free. Got to love man maths.
Never seen any JE shafts but doubt they'd disappoint if available. That said, if the new pattern shafts I have ready to go in ('Allmakes' brand) are typical, I can't really see the necessity as they are solid enough and seem accurately sized against the YT rockers.
As Peter says, the outrigger posts are very tight and may need letting onto the shafts (not sure I'd use anything as aggressive as a flap wheel 'though); have certainly heard of posts cracking through trying to be installed too tightly so needs doing right.
