And this is how it looks now.

Jobs for next Friday are:
Set the chassis to ride height and final torque the suspension
Refill the Diff oil

and then over the weekend, if my mate can make it, refit the engine and box to the chassis and then refit the body. cool

I swear these cars look better without the body on. How many hours has it taken you to get this far? I'm plotting and scheming. Again.

Nice work. Just watch that return fuel line, ( towards the rear of the chassis ),when you put the body back on. Its dead easy to catch it putting the body back on and end up with a kink in the copper line.

I'd guess about 200 hours.

Top Tip:
I forgot to mention this at the weekend but: if you have a GKN diff and need to replace a drive shaft CV joint bolt, make sure that you order the correct part.
On mine, the inboard joint threads in the diff output flanges are a coarser thread than those in the wheel hub flange.

It may be the same on the BTR diff.

A very nice clean chassis sir, I love watching people look after their cars and getting the mechanicals in tip top condition first before starting on paint and trim and engine upgrades.

I'm liking the lightweight plenum - makes the standard rover stuff look very overengineered wink

Are you keeping the bhp standard or upgrading. Well if its any consolation l had my full rebuild done 3 years ago now and the silver powder coat and mastic coating are still like new when wiped down smile. Lovely chassis.

Today, with the help of a mate, I got the body back on the chassis.

Now to just reconnect everything.
