Does anyone know this car http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t... I thought it looked quite a reasonable car, but, the pictures seem to show a lot of chassis corrosion despite having a chassis replacement/restoration. I`m guessing that they are old photos.
They're current photos but show minor surface corrosion (I prefer to show actual 'naked' chassis rather than cover in waxoyl) as it gives peace of mind of a solid with nothing to hide chassis/outriggers - point taken re. outriggers but as stated in the ad thy are good.
Ironically the paintwork (mainly the front) is not perfect but i think it's a good value peace of mind TVR ownership proposition.
Regards, Paul.

Hmmm... I looked at this add. This chassis doesn't look like it has had a full restoration in my opinion. I scraped my chassis back like this last summer and it was in a very similar condition. My chassis didn't have a refurb.
I would expect a proper refurb to still be solid; i.e. Galved or red oxide treated and then a good bonding paint. If this was refurbed, then it doesn't say much about the quality of the paint used to complete the job!
