I don't use Facebook these days but I do still get notifications... The extract below is from the modified TVR group, which as many of you will know Linley is a regular on...

So, I hope Linley doesn't mind me posting this.. And, big apologies to PH if this is breaking any rules... It's not meant to be inflammatory...

Sincerely,

Chilli smile

GUILTY VERDICT

My former engine builder , Jamie Daniel Rogers, formerly Castle Race Engines and Castle Automotive Performance, has today pleaded guilty to the main count of fraud, that is ALL the money he charged me for ALL of the work he DIDN'T actually ever do on my car, between July and December 2011.

He chose to plead guilty BEFORE the trial reached jury deliberations. I stress this to demonstrate it was bang-to-rights all along as I always promised - not a misguided jury decision. He has not yet been sentenced.
This will hopefully give others the confidence to fight back when they are ripped off. Everyone makes mistakes, sometimes a job isn't up to scratch, but in this case it is now proven that it was a calculated attempt to deceive from the outset.

I wonder if PH will let me back in now wink

Sounds like a result for JD and Justice even if JD won't see his money at least it proves he was 100% right and has saved others of us ending up in the same boat.

JD, if you're reading this, I salute you sir bow

I had seen some posts about some of this stuff on the TVR facebook page but hadn't connected Linley and JD.

Linley was getting a reall hard time on FB from various parties.

I don't see why it should be locked or deleted since the outcome of the trial is now determined.

I don't either, but JD and this topic have recieved some overly zealous Modding in the past (pun intended)

Great news for JD and helps restore my faith in British justice.

The legal system has now confirmed this engine builder committed a criminal act, so it would be a very poor reflection on PH if this post was deleted.

When a moderator promotes an engine builder who is subsequently proven by a court of law to be a criminal I would have thought the bare minimum should be a public apology to JD and visible to all the long standing supporters of this TVR forum.

It's the honorable thing to do and Piston Heads offers the perfect vehicle to communicate the apology.

He may be thinking of the poster who is often mistaken for a mod. The phead 'clique' at the time all sang the builders praises
