Hi - I've now replaced 3 of those brake switches (drivers well)- the white plastic proper rubbishy ones and they have all failed - current always there but the switch fails. I took the recent one apart and it seemed to have some grease on it that was creating some mini arching - anyhow they seem fragile at best and wondered if anyone had another alternative?!
cheers

Hydraulic switch?

This is my S not a Chimaera but same principle, just drop it in on any brake line.

cheers for the feedback - looks proper but a lot of work - shame there doesn't appear to be a switch alternative as i'm sure cracking it open and cleaning a few times will just break it soon

Plenty of choice (may need a little adapting) if you look around Ebay, how about a "quality" Land Rover switch, or genuine Ford?

Or, clean it one more time and then stuff it full of Contalube.
