Hi Neal
I notice your silencer box keeps the 2 pipes separate as per normal US V8 practice, where as the normal TVR set up combines them, then splits them apart again.
What was your thinking on this ?
Is it to do with firing order ?
I always like the sound of US V8s (sort of lumpy burble - maybe due to separate pipes ?)

Hi, I am very restricted on space and this was about the best I could achieve. For me it was more about pipe size rather than outright design. Turbo's dampen the sound down quite considerably, I have no idea how it will sound but with having the welder I can always change things till im happy.
Regarding X pieces and H pieces the research I have done is they dont really help much on a Turbo car on a max effort NA setup yes maybe. I am so limited to space though.
Hoping to make some noise very soon, just 2 lambda sesnsors to wire in then DONE

H pipe more lower down power and torque, X pipe more top end.
If you dont have any type of balance pipe they sound s
te, really coarse and crackly and supposedly down on power, as the balance pipe helps scavenging.
I went from an X pipe to a H and lost around 15bhp but picked up 30lbs/ft..
As neal says it not going to matter on his hair dryer system, he's just gonna need 400 section tyres!

There is a plan un-hatching which will hopefully see me with some 335's on but its major work inc chassis cuts but gotta be done.(next winters project if I get some miles on it)

No, since having twins 3 years ago, major development has stopped!(next winters project if I get some miles on it)

However, luckily it seems to have stopped at the right point, i think it has the right balance of mad enough power, but not quite enough chassis!

I remember arriving at Mallery and seeing this thing,,,,a red car that was making everything else look like it was a standing still ,,,,, I watched from the pit straight,,, unforgettable,,,, the geezer was seriously on it,,

Looks the 'dogs' in the flesh Gary and as someone said, almost too good to put under a car. Mind you mate, you've done some nifty work there yourself I was looking at Looks fab!

Started the LS again today. Loaded another base map and it fired right up. Idle was high but need to get it mapped now in the next couple of weeks.
Its going to sound great I think.
Still need to slash-cut the exhaust pipes before anyone notices
