Good space saving idea, hanging the car on the garage wall. How many can you get in one single garage? hehe

As nice and shiny that the elbow is, it would be better if the whole lot were wrapped in an insulation to keep the exhaust heat away.

Hi Phazed, thanks for the roof hoop last year, still yet to be fitted as thinking of renewing the hood, what are the benefits of wrapping in heat reflective material . .?

The air that is drawn in should be cool for efficiency.

When you are tootling along the temperature in the engine bay is enormous and it is better to help keep the inlet as cool as possible, hence insulate it.

It speed it doesn't matter as the air rushing around the engine compartment will be much cooler and at higher RPMs the speed at which the air is consumed overrides the speed at which it can be warmed up.

Better to insulate IMHO.

The bend looks less severe than most silicone elbows so I reckon it should flow well... smile
