Afternoon Chaps ,

How do RR's measure power? It makes sense to me that it's at the wheels and not the fly , or am I wrong?
If I'm right and it's at the wheels how much do our cars generally seem to lose in between?
I only ask as I just got mine back from my local after I'd had Ray/Rob from V8D do some tinkering for me with a new stealth cam and some inlet / trumpet / plenum workand a new set of pipes from Tim @ ACT. I was a little surprised / bemused as to what the numbers were on the print out .I know each RR is going to be different. Stupidly I didn't look at the read out or ask the guys when I was picking it up as they were in a rush to clear out and go racing themselves.

Either way though , after a long 6 weeks it's fantastic to have her back !!

Usually, the power is measured at the wheels and then the engine allowed to run down from peak revs to idle on its own. The equipment can then measure the transmission drag / losses which are then added to the measured figure to give flywheel power. Losses can between 20 at low revs to over 50 bhp at peak from graphs I've seen.
