I was starting to loose interest as I was using it as my everyday car for 3 years. suddenly it lost its magic and became more of a pain to drive. I haven't used it since the Halloween meet. hopefully she should be back out on Good Friday and I can't wait bounce

I lost interest 6 months ago so bought a Tamora. Put the Chim in storage in my daughters garage. Did the same when i bought the Chim 2 years ago, put my Cerbera in a compound, left it there for 18 months with no interest in it. So i sold it thInking the same will happen with the Chim, so its up for sale. Love the Chim but after driving the Tamora, cant see me driving the chim again.

I am guessing your referencing the Griff Thread (see http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...) - in which hardly anyone posts anymore.

My interest goes up and down. I've had my chim for 12 years, I put the supercharger on and that reignited my interest, then I put the canems on and that was interesting too, but now I'm just always at work during the summer and during the winter when I normally do stuff on the westfield and the chim I found myself trying to finish off a 5 year long project to complete a lathe build.

I've still managed to buy the next upgrades for the car, just had no time to fit, I have got a brand new off the production line cross bolted P38 4.0 engine that I bought off ebay after a couple of beers, a pair of cerbera seats that live in the boot of another car, a like new set of RS7 alloys, brembo brake calipers, clear front indicators, a mishimoto oil catch tank (thanks to Hoofa's advice), Lupo headlights, a left hand drive throttle cable and p38 throttle linkage plus plus plus………

For the westfield I have a spare engine and low compression set of new pistons ready to build a supercharged engine but when oh when will I ever get a minute to do any of these……….?

So you're planning to be in the garage from Friday morning until Monday night.

I've never had the faintest interest in the Chimaera.

Fugly damned thing with a big droopy ass and ugly headlights.
So its a bit like a woman, if the front AND the back are ugly its best left alone.

I say that's a bit harsh and somewhat unprovoked... And there was I mustering up some sympathy with your loss of interest thread..

How can you possibly find this fugly????
