Mot time yesterday and had advisories for play in the front drop links. Just wondered if the rose joints were available to change as im assuming its these that have worn, ive not looked at them yet.
Also wondering if its advisable to remove them and go back to normal style droplinks as they must take a hammering on our roads, i dont do any track days so thats not an issue but is there any need for them on a road car?
Thanks in advance.

I have a set of SH drop links sitting in a drawer
If someone local to me can measure the threads, or tell me how to we can experiment with mine while yours are on the car if you want.

Thanks for the help offer, i will probably remove one and see how its assembled first. Got lots of nuts and bolts in the garage so identification should not be an issue.

I threw mine away when they wore and bought the Racing Green uprated ones which I've been very happy with since.

I'm in the UK on business at the moment but if you can wait till Tuesday, I'll send you the part mumber. I've had to replace the rose joints of my SH rear droplinks a bunch of times due to squeaking, bending etc.

This may help with alternatives to the SH drop links.

They look beefy. Be sure to check the articulation of the ARB to the lower wishbone before deciding on the Civic or the Accord ones.

Hi.

the replacement rose joints I used for my SH rear droplinks were from SKF. There isnt much info on the box but it does say:

'SA 8 E' and '328H' which should be enough info to order replacements.

In case it helps...the barcode number is 7 316577 002501

Tried to fit the short civic items on the weekend and there is no way they are going to fit and work properly, so if anybody wants them at a couple of quid less than I paid for them posted free then let me know by pm.

I had that problem too. It will be the Accord ones you want. Sardonicus (Simon) had the same issue I believe and fitted the Accord ones without an issue. It is down to the width of the ARB and how the droplinks articulate to the lower wishbone.

This is how my Civic ones looked (see below), but one snapped within two weeks as they just didn't sit right. At the time, I didn't know about the Accord ones and bought the Racing Green modified ones, but these were very difficult to fit and appeared to be the same as the Civic ones, but only longer.

See below for comparison image of Racing Green modified droplinks and Civic ones (Civic dirty ones!). The Racing Green droplinks have been okay, but I would likely try the Accord droplinks next. HTH.

Ive bit the bullet and ordered a set from tvr parts now at £60 for the pair but im going to compare them with the accord items when they arrive, im on good terms with my local motor factors so will ask them to get me one for comparison which can be returned later.

I've just ordered the parts to make my own with uprated teflon lined rose joints, time will tell if it works out

I got the leven ones last year, seems they are not filled with grease, dust can come in and they wear quickly. Genius!
