Just come accross these for sale. They look the business but will they produce the horses? Pretty much direct airflow. There's something nice about carbs.

I think emissions are the problem with carbs. You'll never get it through an MOT.

Hmm, I'm thinking you'd need to check how they match with the inlet ports on your heads, doesn't look to be a lot of meat to play with on the inlet manifold for opening them up... If that's a mod for an SD1 I suspect the 3.5 heads had smaller ports than the later heads.. just guessing but worth checking..

Given the performance gains of seperate throttle bodies if any over a good plenum setup these would be a backward step IMHO.

They are all Torque not HP (see what I did there?) wink but they are they are suited to mud plugging and SU carbs meter fuel nicely and because they are CD carbs you have a variable carb if you like a sort of supply on demand scratchchin
