Does anyone on here have any first hand experience of VTA or their new racks?
Emailed them regarding some fancy stainless steel parts. Nothing. Emailed them again, nothing. Sent a PM on facebook, nothing.

Given up with them; although annoyingly they do list some nice items.

Maybe I am missing something here but why don't people just rebuild or adjust the rack they have?

Because they are known to leak and are frequently found with too much play, even after rebuilding. The cost of the Scooby mod should be less than a rebuild and last as long as the car.

There is a company that refurb the original racks. I sent mine there last Summer and they upgraded it too by modifying one of the seals with ceramics. I can dig out their details if you like.

No point. There are no spare parts, seals yes, parts no.

I went down this road a few years ago, even Powers specialist sent my rack back as unrepairable.

Hi, hope you don't mind me asking, are the bolts that hold the rack on just normal 8mm or do they have a thicker sleeve? Am I right in thinking the holes in the steering rack are 10mm?
