hi guys water pump has failed luckily as I pulled up at home water pouring from the leak whole so suspect a bearing has gone,i thought that when changing pump I would replace the temperature sensor does anybody know the part number and is it something I can get from local CAF help again appreciated .
What hole is the pump leaking from? A couple of the pump retaining bolts need to be sealed as they run into the water jacket in the block, this is a common place for leaks from what I understand. Can you hear the bearing whistling or grinding when the engine is running? You could try removing the pump and resealing. This will also give you an opportunity to inspect it for the suspected bearing wear and may just solve your problem.
A photograph of the leak would really help.

Having just replaced my water pump it's not too difficult, I found raising the front of the car in prep for refill best
Loosen the pump pulley bolts whilst the belt is still on, remove belt then remove pulley
Remove the long bolts from the pump first as they drain through to the block and take the bulk of the coolant out into a bucket below. Then remove one of the lower hoses and drain into bucket.
Unbolt pump, and remove, carefully clean off old gasket without damaging the mating face
Reassemble in reverse order tightening pump bolts diagonally to spread load.
If you search on here there are various ways to refill, I had no issues with air locks with front of the car raised.
