Basic health check, brakes and tyres.

We'll sort out the rest for you on the day.

Bring a helmet if you have one. If not we will have a few spares or you can hire one.

The more the merrier, look forward to meeting you.

Guys and Gals, if you are curious, come along to Mallory Park (LE9 7QE) this Thursday (21st) if you can, find me in the pits in my purple Chim, and see what it's about from the passenger seat, or come to Bedford Autodrome (MK44 2YP, approached from the south west corner of the old airfield) on Monday 15th June, where there will be a number of TVRs. A fiver gets you a whole day of passenger rides. No shorts, no short sleeved shirts, bring your helmet if you have one, though I have spares, as does Phazed, and you can hire them at the track for a tenner if none fit.
We're on track from 9.30 until about 4.30 and there's a cafe for lunch.
Think I will join you for the 15th June @ Bedford - as I missed out on the last Snetterton Event.

From Snetterton a couple of weeks ago.

I wasnt on my usual Triple 8s but more road biased R1Rs as they forecasted rain.

Apologies for squeeking brakes.........

Totally safe, hitting 130 on the back straight, later in the day 140.

As you can see, all sorts on track.

Can't believe some of the overtaking! especially those caterhams on the corner no wonder you were gesticulating - hope the whole day was not like that, I would have been moaning to race control! One mistake overtaking on inside and you have quite a large insurance job!

Theres nothing like a good trackday to test your car, if there is something wrong, it will become apparent smile
Remember to change to fresh brakefluid if you cant remember the last time it was done...

just done a day at Mallory Park.

Overtaking rules were as normal, but the slower drivers were so well tuned to the circuit and the other cars that we were overtaking with consent and safely everywhere but the hairpin.

I am a stickler for track day rules anywhere else, but for some reason at Mallory it worked fine relaxing them.

Any upgrade for the track is good for the road.

Better pads, better tyres and better suspension, (if yours is a bit tired).

Make sure the car is running sweetly and off you go!

I'd be happy to advise if you want...............anything to get another chim on track!
Thanks Peter, the chim's getting there.....slowly.

All the cooling system sorted, braking being taken care of over the next couple of weeks with braided lines and new rear discs and pads, and new rear suspension full poly bush and dampers soon to be fitted once things are sorted.

Other than that, the car's pretty much tip top, although I'm sure I'll find issues on the first track dayscratchchinbiggrin

Will definitely need to get down to the Surrey meet soon if you attend, and ask for much needed advicesmile....don't get out much with work at the moment

Sounds like a plan. I've actually got the day off on Thursday, so would be great to catch up then.
I've been meaning to get down to the meet for way too long now, but work always seems to scupper my plans.

I'll have to park mine is a bush to hide the dodgy paintworkbiglaugh

Hopefully see you guys down therethumbup

Nice footage there Peter. As always with video never looks as fast as it actually is. Good to see the Wedge racer out on track. Some of that overtaking on corners was not ideal especially in heavy traffic like that.
