Evening Gents,

I think this must be the world record for length of time between signing up, and actually coming on and posting!

Well, after owning my Chimaera for over 10 years I've finally got around to coming on Pistonheads.
I first stumbled across PH not long after I bought my Chim, but never got involved. It wasn't until I got an email from PH recently informing of updated T&C's - and which also included my original Username that I signed up with (and that i'd completely forgotten) that motivated me to get involved.

A fair number of my previous customers use Pistonheads and have suggested in the past that I should come on here and join the banter.
I usually use the TVRCC forums so some may recognise my forum name from there.

My 1994 Chim 4.0 is currently being brought out of storage where it's been gathering dust for well over a year since our baby daughter was born.
I'm hoping to get her back on the road this summer after I've worked through the jobs list.
The main aim is to get the car 100% and looking gorgeous for my wedding in September.

Recent jobs include new brake discs (Cosworth 278mm), new front wheel bearings, and oddly, TWO new batteries - the first one didn't like being connected to my Accumate and stayed lit on amber for around 30 days. The supplier reluctantly swapped it for a replacement but claimed it had been boiled.
The replacement still hasn't gone from amber to green yet but it's only been on a day so far so i'll see how it goes. I suspect these batteries may have been sat on a back shelf somewhere in a discharged state.

Main job still to do is the clutch which i'm not looking forward to...

Anyway welcome! I was on your web site the other day looking at the headlight covers for the Chim. You deffo need more pics on there, but great stuff none the less. wink

I'm sure you can pass on a lot of info and will no doubt be a useful addition to the conversation!

Cheers

Thanks guy's,

Yeah the website defo needs a few more pics. The site fell victim to hackers a couple of months ago and basically needed to be scrapped and completely re-done.
There was too much malicious code that couldn't be removed. Whenever a picture was clicked on it redirected to dodgy/gambling/filth-type websites.
It's all squeaky clean now, but ready for new content to be added when I get chance.

I'm in Huddersfield but the wedding is at Caerverlock Castle in Scotland. Looking forward to it - AND the drive up there driving
