After you've spent the money with someone like HF or Carl and had a nice new immobiliser fitted, has it eradicated the hot start issue?
I sometimes get the hot start problem and most things I've read suggest that it's down to TVR wiring the immobiliser wrong, just wondering if changing it has 100% cured it.

Thanks

HF installed a replacement immob for me 18 months ago - and wired it in correctly this time. Since then no more hot start problems. Wish I had opted for the remote boot opener at the same time - sigh .......

Mine has only non-started twice since Carl worked his magic:

1. At a roundabout when I stalled thanks to a dodgy idle. Immobiliser cut in. I locked and unlocked the car and it restarted.
2. When I went into a gravel trap at Mallory Park sideways. Fuel pump not priming, relays chattering, engine turning over. I initially assumed I had flooded it, but a wise head on the phone knew immediately I had tripped the inertia switch (safety roll-over fuel cut out). Found the button by unscrewing the glove thingy under the dash and feeling up towards the radio, pressed it, engine fired straight away.

Never once had the hot start issue in almost 20,000 miles post-Carl.

PS, the key mounted boot release is a joy.....
