I used to have a 205 and my Chimaera has the same rear view mirror so I can confirm this!

I had a 309GTI - absolutely no memory of the mirror apart from the fact things disappeared from it pretty quickly on twisty roads! smile

You can just replace the mounting for a few pounds

They may want to consider fitting an MG TF mirror with integrated map lights for some proper / useable light in the cabin.

Brilliant spot. Mine has a small piece broken off an has been wobbly for ages. Just ordered it. Careful prizing off the clip surround though if anyone does it!

Got the replacement part but it's not quite identical. Its a few mm higher than the original and fouls on the clip. Bit of rubbing down will do the trick:

Do these fit on the clamp on the screen?

They are screen mounted. Whether they fit the existing mount I don't know. I need to lower the mount in Tamy. I know it does match the screen mount in Samy.

Hi Stewart,

I noticed your mirror with lights at the pub last week. Is it wired to the door switches or manually switched on?

Both!

Has two lights on the underside. Both come on with the door opening. Each has a switch so they can be turned on when you're inside.
