I forgot to put these back on and the fuel rail blew 'blew' off. Luckily it was just ticking over on the drive as fuel was pissing everywhere. Live and learn...

I thought they were only intended to ensure the 'height' of the injectors was located right in the port to ensure optimum spray pattern; not to ensure fixation of the rail (it's bolted down after all)? Certainly TRE Performance who supplied my Green Giants advised that the original clips could be dispensed with (which is as well as they don't fit)... I modded and re-used the oem clips but not sure they do a lot - no problems however; the rail deffo has not blown off smile

Yeh def need those clips Gary if you push the inj's all the way into the intake with the rail bolted down the top of the injector O ring is just peeping out of the fuel rail eek

yep without the clips it looks like the orings are seating properly but they aren't, it only lasted about 10 mins before blowing off

Are you sticking with the original injectors or have you changed? Can't vouch for the former but I'm sure the GGs were not at obvious risk of being released regardless of the clips being present. The 'right' clips for the GG body were not at all easy to source however, hence the modding. Maybe some form of spacer underneath to prevent them dropping?

They'll be fine I as using stock hot-wire ones with these inj's previously they are stock EV1 style (the most common type) Sagem IIRC

Retainer clips?
Never had any fitted to mine.
I am still on the standard injectors but at 3.5 bar with a Weber Alpha.
I think they were running at about 83% so i want to fit bigger this time round.
What injectors are you using Simon?
