+1 on deleting the stepper and plugging the port - looks great; really liking the rocker covers for some reason

Take that housing off and fit a core plug in the hole left Derek, now is the time with the motor out, you will have to block those tapped holes to (unlike this shot) then just put a bung over the opening near the TB and the jobs a good-un ..................... Yes LongBaz thats your plenum thumbup ..........

Do I not need this on mine as I am running MS. If needs be I will make a plate up to cover the hole.
Plenum looks good Simon.

If idle is behaving itself Barry then no, I chose this way because I was sure the stepper would throw a wobbly and be inconstant controlling a bigger cams choppy idle etc

So much for so called big bore exhaust gaskets.

A bit more tweaking to take out any steps before fitting.

I have had the same problem with those same gaskets previously. They aint big enough despite being sold as big bore.

The ones that Power sell are the perfect size and didnt need any fettling.

Worth checking manifold to head alignment as well Derek. My manifolds needed opening up quite a bit.

Are used Powers ones, they seem to be a perfect fit.

I had opened the manifolds previously but they showed tell tale signs of misalignment so I have opened them more. They are about a mm bigger al round than the gaskets and heads now so a little room for movement.

The flywheel, clutch and bellhousing are fitted and the engine is hanging on the chainblock waiting to be lowered in tomorrow.

A slight set back!
The rose joint for the gearstick linkage has sheared.
Anyone know where I can pick one up?
