Is there anything to stop us joining you on the 24th or is it Porsche owners club thing only?
Hi ya Matt Its a privately run T/D A friend runs on an annual basis. He used to be the secretary of the 928 owners club which is how it started out originally. Richard keeps the numbers down and vets drivers so we get plenty of open track time with friendly drivers. He usually has a full quota for this one but I knew he had one slot free.
Afternoon Hamish, hope you are well sir. Last time I saw you I know you finally had the car up and running and performing how it should, I know you had a bit of a battle with it so great to hear you are back out doing trackdays again. Your car must be awesome on track with the JE engine and supercharger.
No worries I thought it might be an event through a trackday organiser that we could book on to save Peter having to do Combe two weeks in a row. It would be good to catch up at, and I look forward to seeing your car on track at some point.
Matthew

I'm up for the 31st if there's a group of us going. Peter, where can I access curborough dates and bookings?
Ian, mail Dan here,sprintandtrackday@hotmail.co.uk
He'll include you on his news letter if you ask.
It has all the times and dates etc.
You'll have to nail it to join Anthony and me, even more so for Ribs time, (lightweight bugger
).
For info guys, Castle Combe's own track days tend to be run on sessions. Can vouch for MSE, great people and well run days. Briefings can go on a bit but Erling will sulk if he can't get through all his jokes, again. Open pit, and if you hang around until the late afternoon there will usually be very few cars out on track.
100 dB is rigorously enforced at stationary noise test at the start of the day. Some Tivs may struggle, although Merlin Motorsport who's shop is on site may have some end cans that fit. Will double your costs for the day though.
Combe is a bit of a challenge in the wet, caution required if it's your first outing there. Great track though!

A pair of cans will bring you down unless you have a well messed with system, I will bring a spare set.
As for wet, I did a TD there when it was snowing, one of the best TDs that I have ever done!
Err,...........I used my Skoda VRs with traction and stability and left the tiv in the garage, (the shame).

Yeah, although if you've taken the ground with you that's real traction!
Will probably be in a black Megane R26 - tempted to bring the Griff but not sure how we'll do on the noise front and having not bought it with track use in mind I'm not sure I want to shell out on cans.
Your call - I can always lend you a set. If the exhaust is totally standard you should be under the limit anyway. Will probably be in a black Megane R26 - tempted to bring the Griff but not sure how we'll do on the noise front and having not bought it with track use in mind I'm not sure I want to shell out on cans.
