TVR 4.5 vs 5.0, the 4.5 is the better engine hands down. cross bolted larger crank better casting i believe.

A 4.5 (rover 4.6) with a stroked crank to give 5.0 is the way to go.

This is my 5ltr v my 4.3 so not too dissimilar comparison. The only thing different here is cc. The 5 ltr is running the same heads with standard size valves not TVR big ones and a standard 65mm plenum. Same cam, Both on Emerald.

The 5 ltr is way quicker and have to say smoother too due to being properly balanced.

That is a healthy output then Carsy thumbup for stock valved heads I still say they are nicely ported though scratchchin the porting quality wins hand down on the RV8 rather that just bigger valves and mediocre/lack of porting IMO .... but combine the two driving

Yes agree Simon. Debating whether to do the bigger valves this Winter and 72mm plenum. I recon it would give me another easy 30bhp and without going bigger on the cam. It drives so nice smile Thing is i would just be chasing numbers doing this and those TVR big valves and seats aint cheap. The thing is more than fast enough for me now. scratchchin
