New Hood

Hi, any recommendations on suppliers for a new hood?

Just had her out this weekend and find that the rear screen has started to split.

Seen many options for this, whether you want fully trimmed and fitted or a partial diy option and where in the uk you are.

I also need a hood as its a little tired, I want fully fitted, but I would also like a slightly narrower rear window so it folds easier and sits lower (so i can see behind me rather than look at an interior light in the mirror).

options I have looked at that have received favorable comments include -
Dave the trimmer (does a narrower screen) based in Watford.
Trim technician (does a much narrower screen, but its square in shape, doesnt look great imo) based in blackpool
Central TVR std rear screen based in brum
chessington hoods - surrey, standard rear screen
oxted trimming co - surrey, standard rear screen - they do say they could potentially do a smaller one.

Dave did most of the interior last year whenI replaced the seats with those from a Tuscan. He had a Chimaera in having the hood done and it did look good so at this point I think unless something else comes up that I'll probably go with him.

Had mine done at TVR101 (no affiliation) when it was in getting a few other bits tweaked.
Really pleased with the fit and finish. Jamie and Steve are great guys and they'll be my first stop for anything chim related in the future!

whoever you choose ask the question, do they make the hood from their template? or do they use your old hood as the template.
