We all know the Chevrolet v8 will fit, and you could easily get a four pot in maybe even a straight six.
But what else is knocking around?

The SOHC 5L M113 Mercedes engine is a very good option. Dirt cheap, robust, 350+bhp and I believe shorter than an RV8. A very compact little engine.

wow, 400hp from that 302 NA sounds very good.
those 302 engines that can be used, are those only old types?
from when to when can you get those type engines?
also thinking, such set (heads etc) can also be used in the 5000M versions and or griffiths with 302 engines.
how expensive would such be all in all, guess some tuning etc will also be part of such.
