All being well you and Anthony will be the first to see the results first hand next Sunday morning! At least I assume that's what you're referring to Peter?
I possibly wrongly assumed that there was a problem with Ian's car?
Dom rang me Friday to say that while the car was on the rolling road, he'd found both manifolds split. Probably my own fault as I'd heard the dreaded 'ticking' noise under load and assumed a gasket or two had blown and hadn't checked properly.
Had the same fault on the Cerb and that cost a lot more... cry

We've got two Ian's on the go here! Nearly shat myself when I heard I had two split manifolds then realised it was a different Iain - sorry to be relieved at some one else's pain!

Mines just in for a change of Ecu and wiring - had no end of issues with the DTA Ecu and could not get anyone to map it properly so I am having it all ripped out and going for the MBE. Not aware of any other problems - yet! But it does sound a bit tappety.......

Will chase up Dom this week

Yes.....fingers crossed for you that you don't have the 4>1 leak issue, or leaking gaskets.

To the either Ian - I have one spare manifold (bought a pair off another PHer, he didn't realise that one had been welded back inaccurately after 4>1 welding and was half an inch too short). Cannot remember which side, think it is still catted and I think it has already been welded at the 4>1 union, but if you need it just holler and I will check those facts.

Thanks for the offer QBee but Dom has twisted my arm again. He's good at that boxedin
With the nice shiney Y piece already in place the ACT ones will look a lot better and blingy. Only trouble is it will start to look like Mac's soon....cool

absolutely, Respect.
In addition, that power with only 7 psi on a 4.6
impressive, owner must be well chuffed.

Nope, and unfortunately it's looking grim. All rocker pads and valve ends are knackered and it's a strip down job to find the bits and any other damage on a brand new engine that's done less than 5000 miles😡 Will start a new thread when appropriate

Thanks Richard, fearing the worse unfortunately. Had hoped after what I spent on a brand new everything I would get more than 5k miles out of it

Oh FFS, what a nightmare! I remember speaking to you at Castle Combe and it did sound a bit tappitly then.

Surely the engine builder will see this right?

What cam are you running Ian and what rpm?

I also learned the hard way that big cams and rockers with pads on don't mix. may not be as bad as it seems

Dom's just called to say the car is finally mapped at long last. I was that giddy I forgot to write down the figures but from memory I think it was 352bhp and 372ft/lbs at 10lbs boost.
If the injectors were bigger we could go on.....
Can't collect until early next week and need a DRY day to drive home. Will post up the dyno results later.
I'm as excited as Alun on here now.
