IIRC it just clips off ... I find that I get through them at the rate of about one every two years and know that I need to replace mine again when I have her back...

Right i have stripped the motor
cleaned down the parts, and installed new brushes and put back together ensuring arm is at its longest reach, so i can clip the wiper spiral back on, and push into place.

Am i right in that the wheel will be virtually impossible to move as it is now, with out spiral and electric on due to the magnets,as i cant budge it now,may seem obvious answer to this but i would rather check

Replace park switch and steering stalk tomorrow by Auto Sparks and then fingers crossed

Thinking about this, need to check the tightness of the end plate that holds the end of the motor and ball bearing, then maybe release the holding screw at the ofther end????

You wont be able to turn the wheel to make the motor turn. If in doubt, remove the end plate and turn the armature (spindle) by hand. It should all move now. Refit the cover plate, connect up the wiring and it will work.

Took the plate off and the motor and wheel turned easily by hand, cleaned the end plate socket out a bit more to ensure more friction with the sindle and ballbearing on motor end.

Fingers crossed today
